Lambton County Archives

Lambton County Archives is the archival centre for genealogical and local history research in Lambton County. The Archives preserves and makes accessible historical and family documents for researchers. At the Archives, visitors can access resources such as:

  • Family records, census records, birth records (to 1914), marriage records (to 1929) and death records (to 1939).
  • Local newspapers - Sarnia Observer from 1853 to present, Petrolia Topic, Forest Standard and more.
  • Corporate records, Land Registry information, historical atlases, Women's Institute's Records, and Tweedsmuir Books, and the local branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society holdings.
