Looking for a venue with a lasting impression for your next event? The Oil Museum of Canada, National Historic Site provides a truly unique atmosphere and is the perfect setting for hosting a variety of occasions.

Situated just south of the Village of Oil Springs, the 1960s museum building sits on the world's first oil field surrounded by reproduction 19th century jerker lines, wooden pump jacks, and three-pole derricks. In our care are over 9,000 objects that help us interpret the oil heritage of the County of Lambton and the significant contributions made globally to the oil industry.

Photo Shoots

Oil Museum of Canada, National Historic Site provides a beautiful backdrop for photography. Whether you're interested in taking special event photographs or bringing your camera club, our industrial heritage landscape is an interesting setting.

$100 per hour + HST for commercial photoshoots

Catering

We can offer light refreshments for your event, however we do not provide catering. If you are interested in a catered event, you are welcome to make arrangements.

Parking

There is free onsite parking located near the entrance from Gum Bed Line. The parking lot is open daily, including during events. We can accommodate buses and large vehicles, but note that space is limited. There is an accessible parking spot located beside the main building along with an electric vehicle charging station. Charges apply.
